Aspen

Aspen is another ski resort in Colorado. You can get to Aspen via plane through the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport. It a small airport, so only small airplanes are allowed and air traffic stops if there is bad weather. It is cheaper and more reliable to fly into Denver Airport and then driving up to Aspen. If you prefer to drive, Aspen is a 4-hour drive from Denver. You can choose to go through Independence Pass or Glenwood Springs. Unfortunately, Independence Pass is only open during summer, but it is a faster route and has a spectacular view. Once in Aspen, you can visit the John Denver Park, Maroon Bells, and Independence Pass. During winter, you can choose from 4 ski mountains: Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Aspen Mountain. You can go on sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and sledding. During the summer, you can play paint ball, watch rodeos, go fly fishing, hot air ballooning, white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking and play golf. There are many restaurants like the Artisan Restaurant, Woody Creek Tavern and Crystal Palace Theatre Restaurant where you can eat scrumptious food. You can go to Little Annies, Zane’s Tavern and The Regal for a cold drink. For accommodations, you can choose condominium hotels like Aspen Square and Aspen Meadow Resort, or if you prefer to stay in a home, you can go to Aspen Land Homes.
